Like the ECAIA ionizer, the ECAIA carafe is also endowed with the “Filter Technology” by SANUSLIFE® INTERNATIONAL. Filtration and ionization processes take place inside the ECAIA cartridge. Special bioceramics carry out mineral ionization without electricity.

Just like the ECAIA filters no. 1 and no.2 of the ECAIA ionizer, the ECAIA cartridge of the ECAIA carafe contains activated carbon granulate. Depending on the existing level of pollution, you can achieve a filtration of up to 99% of the contaminants most frequently occurring in drinking water. This means you can achieve levels that are often a lot lower than the limits required by the regulations on drinking water.

Special bioceramics, obtained from the combustion of minerals and metals, react upon contact with water, thus allowing mineral ionization. With this chemical process, water takes on the same characteristics that it would obtain from treatment with an electronic water ionizer. In fact, it becomes pure, alkaline, oxygen-rich, antioxidant (electron-rich) and finely clustered.

Knowledge about water treatment with carbonized minerals and metals is very old and especially wide-spread in China, Japan and Korea, where ceramics were already fired between 3000 and 2000 years ago. Subsequently, functional ceramics have been developed that can change the pH and redox (ORP) values of water.

SANUSLIFE® INTERNATIONAL has embraced this ancient knowledge. Numerous tests have been performed to identify the weaknesses of conventional filter mediums, and to adapt them to the characteristics of today’s water. Practically, the whole process has been revised: from the materials, to the length of combustion, to the composition of the ingredients.

Depending on the values ​​of the water available, a pH value up to 9.5 and an ORP value even less than -300 mV can be reached.

In areas with very hard water, high-performance ionization cannot be guaranteed, which is why a low to very low pH value and/or a redox value in the plus range can also be observed.

Water is often purchased in practical, disposable plastic bottles. This convenience, however, leaves traces in the environment. Water in plastic bottles causes piles of plastic waste: approximately 89 billion liters of water are bottled in plastic bottles annually worldwide; and 80% of these bottles are not recycled. In addition, the production of a plastic bottle consumes great amounts of energy and clean water. From an ecological point of view, the production of disposable plastic bottles is completely unreasonable for drinking water. With the ECAIA carafe you can produce quality water and contribute to saving the environment, because the carafe works with a single large filter cartridge which only needs to be replaced once every 2 months.
